Oh my goodness! I arrive at this park when it was dark and I could still tell that it beautiful! 25 mph speed limit because the deer own the place! Their tails just wag as they cross in front of you. And quiet! If you like peace and quiet with a big dose of nature, this is the campground for you!

Had a great time. Stayed a night at backwoods site 2. Only complaint is there creeks were dry.

We went camping here and it was our first time. This place is absolutely beautiful and we love it. Plenty of hiking trails, plenty of road to ride our electric bikes, all of the spots are nice and clean and level. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Visited fall 2025 Excellent campground and facilities. Both the RV and tent camping facilities are modern, we'll maintained, and we'll equipped. The tent camp sites are more private and secluded than other Alabama state parks. The playground, dog park, and restrooms are among the best in northern Alabama. Basically the entire place looks brand new. The surrounding trails are no different, with great signage and maintenances. Would certainly camp again.

This is a fabulous RV Park! Lots of space, full hook-ups and very quiet. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the campground from Monday to Friday. Everything was great. The lots are pretty spacious. Everyone was very friendly. The park is amazing with a lot of things to do. The waterfall is beautiful.

Wonderful state park. I stayed twice last month, in A and B sections. As noted, the campground is very recently renovated and very nicely done. Unfortunately I was only stopping for the night so I wasn't able to check out any trails. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Great view of the lake from section A, looks like easy access too. Be aware there's a tight turn at the entrance to go into "B".

Girl Scouts love state parks. I was happy to lead their first camping experience. Thank you from Troop 27019.

Beautiful park with a camp store and gated access for RV & tent camping. I stayed at RV site B-15, a back-in spot. I had a little trouble backing in partly because of skill and partly due to deep ruts in the gravel entrance. Hopefully the park management can repair the site entry for future campers.

Very nice site with all facilities on the pitch. Drove round the lake to the cable car to the top of the mountain. Good views all round with Atlanta skyline in the distance.

This campground has been fully renovated and it is amazing. Plenty of flat sites with lots of room. The views are great and the people are friendly. We stayed during a recent storm where a RV suddenly fell prey to a pine tree. The conservation staff immediately jumped into action and cleared the tree from the camper leaving no trace of the incident. Everyone was unharmed and the site was as good as new.
