Santa Fe Park & RV Resort

Turns out this park is RIGHT next to I-5 freeway AND a railroad track. Needless to say it was noisy all night long. The sites are crammed in next to each other with barely room for a table, ZERO privacy and NO firepit. Facilities themselves were clean but I would never stay here again unless I absolutely had no other choice.

We love our stay here! It's been a few weeks so far and we love it. Everyone kind of does their own thing which is cool. Clean park and helpful staff. The noise from the 5 and the train is not as bad as other reviewers have posted but that's just my opinion. 😊

I’ve been at Santa Fe RV resort for five months now and I can’t say enough positive things about this place. I’ve traveled across the country and what I found is it always comes down to the staff and who represent the RV resort. I’ve dealt with Michelle in the office multiple times and she has always gone above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of and any issues I may have are resolved immediately. The rv resort feels safe (thanks to the amazing security Cujo), clean, well kept. Bathrooms are cleaned daily, pool is available by request (because of COVID) and it’s just an all around great place. I believe that starts with Michelle, leading a great team! Can’t wait come come back!

I have stayed at Santa Fe for several years now. Love the upgrades and improvements that are being made. Keep it up! Michelle, in the office, is incredible. She is so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and if she doesn't have an answer, she will get it for you. Thank you Michelle!

We made reservations from a different state- we arrived late but called ahead to tell them we were arriving after they closed. The woman we spoke to said it was not a problem and she would put our paperwork on the board outside the office. It was not there when we arrived. If we had not called earlier in the day, we would not have known what site # we were. We have a 44 foot 5th wheel with a dually and it was very difficult to get into the sites. The other tenants were parked with their trucks and golf carts out in the road, because the sites are so small. Nobody would answer their door to move their vehicles, so we had no choice but to squeeze by. The golf cart has multiple flat tires, and it is hanging out in the roadside. There are no site rules here. The sites are not maintained well at all. The pool is open, but the seating areas smell like mildew. When we spoke to the office the next morning after arrival, they told us, "oh, by the way, the wifi does not reach your site." For real? They advertise wifi but tell you after you get there that there isn't any. Never had that happen before. And they charged us $1,500 for ten days. This rv park is located within 50 feet of I5 south and on the other border lies the train tracks. The train and interstate are very loud. Very expensive, no wifi, and the worst real estate ever. A mistake we learned from - and you can, too! 😂

My partner and I are full-time RV'ers and have been on the road almost 3 years. We've seen a lot of RV parks/resorts, and one thing we've realized is how the park is run, and it's staff, is a huge key to a nice stay. Michelle has been so amazing and runs this park like a pro. She was kind, and enforced all of the rules that ensures a nice stay. We've extended our 1 month stay twice due to how well this park is run; we intend to stay longer and return next fall/winter! The maintenance guys are always friendly and on top of reported problems and they keep the grounds in nice shape. If, by chance, the leadership of this park is listening; you have a great staff here at Santa Fe and I welcome a call from the ownership to discuss how well your staff is doing. On that note, it is not the quietest place, but the location cannot be beat for all that San Diego has to offer. The laundry room is modern, clean, and has newer machines. I highly recommend a stay here. Have a great day!

Nothing like the pictures, This park is between highway 5 and the railroad tracks, After 6 nights we were sleep deprived. The sites are tight, the roads are tight, no wifi where we were, cable TV not working. There are a lot of full timers with a collection of stuff around their rigs. They do except Passport America but it is still high priced, we paid discount rate of $342 for 6 nights. the only plus is it is close to the main attractions. We will not be back.

We really liked this place!! Small, but plenty of amenities and felt private!!! Several of their amenities (gym, hot tub and pool table area) are closed during covid rules, but we were able to make a reservation for the pool and had alot of fun!! This resort is just far away from businesses and restaurants to feel peaceful, but close enough to restaurants, parks, watersports area and downtown San Diego so you can get around easily!! Definitely a nice, relaxing place!!!

One of the few RV resorts in San Diego. The rates are extremely high for any long term stay. Property is well kept and staff is always available. Nice pool and hot tub along with a kitchen that you can use. The bathrooms are dated and need updated. They don't clean them but once a day.

We stayed here 4 nights in late summer when we were in San Diego to visit the beach. Pluses: It is convenient to the beach and shopping. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There is a pool that is well kept. Negatives: It is ultra expensive. We paid between $95 and $90 a night. It is very crowded. Of the hundred-plus sites, just a handful are for travelers; 95% of the sites are occupied by people that live there full time, year round. That means that people have stuf everywhere around their sites, extra cars that are always being moved, etc. This just makes the small sites even more crowded. Plus, when everyone goes to work in the early morning, it is like rush hour. The trailer park borders I-5 so there is always a constant din of traffic noise. It is also on a rail line, so even though the train comes through infrequently, it can be loud. There is a nice laundry, but you have to buy a card ($5 deposit) to put money on for the washers and dryers. You can only put limited denominations on the card and you can't get any money back. So, for example, if you wash and dry one load, it costs $4.50; but you can only put $5 on the card so you lose the fifty cents. Finally, the sites are small and trailers are packed in so closely that your neighbors are literally only inches away. The place was an urban trailer park that worked because we were at the beach all day. No matter what the name says, it is not a "resort."

This one of the worst RV parks! Pros; it’s convenient. Long list of cons;We stayed here for one night, so we can check out a few places in the area and our daughter’s bike got stolen from our site. It’s odd because many of the residents have there things out, but not stolen. Been on the road and even boondocked at rest stops and Walmarts never had anything stolen. We spoke to the office about a possible refund so we can apply towards a new bike, but they gave us the run around. They said they would check the cameras the have installed and get back to us. They would ask corporate for our requests. Never heard from them. It’s expensive even with PA discount, it’s tight space with mostly residents, and it’s off an industrial street. Stay clear of this place! Find a better park with better amenities and no thieves.

Overall it was a pleasant experience, clean RV park and staff was friendly. Nothing to complain about, we had a great 3 day weekend with the family. The best part, only 15 minutes from the beach!

By far one of the best rv resort parks I have ever been to! Everyone was super friendly and everything was kept up to par and clean. Very respectful and responsible employees wearing masks keeping it safe for everyone. I will definitely always recons this place compared to other lower end places in the area

Decent RV park in a solid location for getting to fun touristy spots in a half hour bike range in the area. Highway noise is constant, but didn’t bother us when trying to sleep at night. Super hot hot tub that is great to have a late night soak before bed. Overall solid base camp for a San Diego adventure if you’re in an RV.

Reception was friendly and organized. Nice concrete pad yet a little to close to neighbors for me. The downside is the noise from the freeway. On the opposite side of the park is a train track, not bad though. The location is the best thing about this park, close to Mission Bay, the beach and San Diego. I will stay here again.
