Nice park, horrible staff. The staff is rude, bigoted, incompetent, and has no issues telling you how you should be RVing. We booked six months ahead of our visit and put down a deposit. Two months prior to our reservation we called to reverfiy our reservation only to find the booked several people over our reservation. They had no solution to solve this problem and never refunded our deposit. I really hope they get rid of the staff they have a get a customer centric team that is camper friendly.

Worst RV park I've been to. I'm currently going through a military PCS, and have been staying in a travel trailer for the past few months. I've moved around to a few different places. (Due to heavy summer bookings) The first impression pulling up to the location, is that you are in between the 5 freeway and the railroad. Yes, the train is extremely loud at 2 am when it comes barreling through. We parked our trailer in our assigned spot, and then were directed to go to the office to pay dues and get registered and familiarized with the property. We walked into the office and were greeted by Nora. By greeted, I mean stared at RUDELY. She sharply asked if the trailer we were staying in was going to be "long term, because it appears soo small." I immediately felt embarrassed and judged because I didn't believe anything was wrong with what we are staying in. (2006 25' Cub trailer). I explained my situation with the military and how this option was far better than paying triple the price for hotel for our last few months in San Diego. My husband and I returned to pay the remaining balance on our reservation a few days later only to be approached again by how small our trailer was. By this point we have seen the other rigs at the park, and ours by far was not the smallest. At that point we had a few questions about the bathrooms. Women gain access by a key card. Same with the men, except she told us that the males restroom remained unlocked during the day and at night you will need a key card. (BIG FAT LIE). My husband drives for Lyft and comes home pretty late at night. He went to shower and refresh before going to sleep around 2:00 am, and the bathroom was still left unlocked for anyone to just come in. (The park has a homeless problem whom sneak up into the park at night. The maintenance men have no problems sharing this info.) My husband went into the shower to discover three piles of human feces in the showers. So, not only do men have to have a fear of anyone just sneaking into the restroom, you'll also need to check your shower to be sure its free of human feces. Our time at Santa Fe was coming to an end, and my husband just wanted to inquire about staying for our last few weeks in San Diego because we've become so tired of moving our rig every week or so. He walked up to the office with baby, dog, and laundry in tow to the office to ask Nora if there were any openings for the remaining weeks of September. For the first five minutes he stood in the office while Nora ignored his presence and continued a conversation with the Maintenance man regarding the taste of the coffee he made. After finishing her conversation he POLITELY asked if she could check for any available sites for the day we were supposed to check out. First she told him that she didn't have time to help him right now, and then she continued to tell him that she doesn't believe there are any open spots available and to come back later on. I can continue to rant on for probably a few thousand more characters. But, I will leave my review as this.. The residents of Santa Fe are really nice and everyone seems to get along. No one at the park likes Nora for obvious reasons. I hope this review reaches the right people because the people who are working in that office are horrible. Blair to be included. Those people make you feel like scum. The sites are not cleaned after someone leaves and the concrete you park your rig on looks like the San Andreas fault line. It is not SAFE for your children if you have any! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!

I stayed at this park for two months and found it to be very satisfactory! The laundry rooms, bathrooms, clubhouse, pool/jacuzzi area and gym were all always VERY clean, neat and stocked with supplies! The noise at first was a little annoying as it is sandwiched between the 5 and a railroad track, but after a few nights I was able to drown out the noise and sleep like a baby. The staff I did encounter were all very friendly and helpful. The campground for being a long stay campground didn't attract the riff raff that some others that I have stayed at do. In fact the majority of the long term people that I met were all very friendly and courteous. The reason for the loss of the star is I did have two issues, one I am sure the campground cannot control and that is no open fires. The other was the mens bathroom lock was broken the entire time of my stay so the bathrooms were closed between 10pm and 6am. This wouldn't have been a problem, but I am a big dude and my shower is to small for me unless it's an emergency situation and my work schedule sometimes didn't allow me to get "home" while it was open. I showered at my gym a lot the past two months. LOL! Not a huge deal for me, others it may have been. Other than those two minor complaints, I would absolutely stay here again for an extended time. I am actually sad that my last night was last night and I am going to be spending my days and nights elsewhere for awhile! EDIT: As I read some of the other reviews, I wanted to give you my take on the negatives I read. There is Wi-Fi and although it may not be the greatest or fastest, it is free and it does the job for checking emails and Facebook. Not one campground have I been in within the past year has Wi-Fi that will allow heavy streaming of say Netflix or Apple TV. The campground may be tight, but if you are experienced driver of your RV or Trailer, this is actually a very easy campground to pull into and back right in. I backed my trailer up on my own, only having to rely very briefly on someone to keep me from backing into a tree. They are angled just perfectly for backing into. Parking is on the street just outside the park, HOWEVER, you will only need that if you have more than one vehicle. This place is also one of the few that do not charge you to keep your extra vehicle onsite. There are about 10 spots (that I never saw full) around the campground used for visitor parking. If they are full, the walk is short to the majority of the campground spots. Noise? Your between the freeway and a railroad track. Get used to it, I did. I got very used to it after about 3 nights. There were a couple nights where the trains did blow their whistles, however that is not the campgrounds fault. Other than that, the campground is very quiet after 8pm and it never got that loud prior to that. There are no wild parties or college kids drinking and playing beer pong all day and night. The average age of the people at this campground can't be much lower than 50.

$5 dump and fresh water hook up. The club house area looked really nice with a little theater. We didn't stay we just made a pit stop to take care of business.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very convenient to all the San Diego attractions. Passport America (PA) campground, so price was excellent for so close to everything. (Worth the PA yearly rate if you're staying more than one night.) No limit to length of stay out time of year. Highly recommended.

This is a great location for travelers who want to be near Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and La Jolla The pool is heated, the exercise room is modest. Its not in the woods but that is not why you would stay here. Santa Fe street is a favorite route for cyclists and runners

We chose this place based on their website and other reviews. Positive...ladies at the desk were polite, pool and showers clean, lots of washers and a game room, plus ok wifi. Also close to downtown, theme parks and the beach. Negative... the spot they gave us for a 33 to 34 ft trailer while sufficient for the trailer was almost impossible to back into with the location of permanent sheds and other rvs with a travel trailer. Would have been ok with a 5th wheel. I have extensive backing ability and it was a beast for even me to get in. Sadly the nice ladies up front didnt seem to know or care what I was talking about. Other issues for maybe others might be the freeway or trains which didnt bother us, extra charge for washers plus deposit on card, and bad map quest directions taking you off balboa on the 5. Be careful with turns with large buses or trailers. Over all not horrible but the park is very small and packed. Nice place to bring bikes with kids though wishing we had brought ours. :) Happy camping!

Advantages of the park are proximity to Sea World and proximity to Highway. It has also many dry cleaners and washing machines. We were, however, disappointed as their was a big difference between their self-promotion and reality. The self-promotion in their flier promissed "...beautiful Rose Canyon, .... finest RV Park in Southern California.... and serene and natural Setting" and "Quit and natural park-like atmosphere". None of that matched reality: the park is located between two Highways on the on side of the park and a busy Train track on the other side of the park. The noise level is unacceptable, unless you are hearing impaired. We can not recomment it because none of their self promoting statements were true, except the "complete laundry facility"

Stayed here previously on 2 separate occasions. Will be making reservations for stay after Christmas this year. First time we stayed we were a little apprehensive due to a very negative ratings but the park was located very conveniently to where we wanted to be so thought we would give it a try. We found just the opposite, the people in the office were very congenial. When we arrived we realized a different space was a better choice for us and they happily changed it for us. Second trip we had tire problems and talked to them about it and said we needed to get all new tires on our fifth wheel before going home realizing the park had a policy of no working on RV's in the park. So they understood and turned a blind eye to us having all the tires and wheels removed and replaced on our fifth wheel so that we did not have to disrupt our time in San Diego. Have recommended them to 2 other friends and there experience was just as positive as ours.
