This repair shop is top notch. My daughter and her friends were involved in a fender bender on the way home from the beach. Soon after, car wouldn't drive and they were stranded on interstate. We found this shop via a Google search, read the reviews, and called. Angel and Larry are absolutely wonderful people. Towed the car promptly, dropped the girls off at a local hotel, and had it all repaired in 24 hours, despite not having the parts on hand. Larry kept us updated and said he wanted to be thorough so we could be confident they would make it home safely. He even delivered the car back to the girls at their hotel. Thank you so much Angel and Larry---the girls made it home and the car is running great.

Absolutely wonderful people! I had car issues driving home from Huntsville, AL to Pensacola, FL. Pulled over at exit 205 after my emergency oil pressure light came on. Chanced it at the closest repair place which was Southern Dixie. I was an unplanned walk in, but everyone was so awesome about getting me in and taken care of and on my way. I can't recommend it enough!

Our suspension gave out on the way from Florida to Ohio on a Sunday which was also Mother's Day. Local folks suggested calling Jeff at Southern Dixie Auto Repair. Jeff recommended a good hotel and told us he would give us first priority early Monday morning. True to his word, he had our car diagnosed, parts ordered and back on the road the next day. Truly amazing since parts are not so easy to find for our car. Friendly and efficient, they kept us informed and provided a ride to our hotel and recommendations to eat. Everyone in the area treated us like we were family rather than strangers. Thanks to Jeff, Robbie, Frank, and any other mechanics who worked on our car and got us back on the road with a minimum delay. They are the best.

As an older woman traveling in an RV across country when my check engine light and several other warning lights suddenly came on I looked for the nearest repair shop and thankfully I found this one. They put my Motor home on their machine and diagnosed and reset the engine lights. They said do to the heavy rain sensors got wet and set off the lights. It’s been 500 miles since I left there and no more lights or problems. I offered to pay for the time and service and they said don’t worry about that, just have a safe trip. They could have charged me big money but kind people still exist and I really recommend anyone needing service to stop and see them.

I was traveling from New York to Florida. I found myself miles from my destination when my vehicle started acting up. I pulled onto an exit. I found Southern Dixie 's number on Google. The owner insured me that they will pick me up and take care of my car. The poor tow driver tried to find me after he had traveled about 50 miles to my destination. I wasn't sure where I was. They dropped me and my things at a nice motel a mile from their garage. The next morning they called to tell me the diagnosis and went right to work with my approval. It was done that afternoon and they picked me up to get my vehicle. Awesome service friendly service very professional. I would recommend to anyone in a similar position. The whole staff is very professional and friendly.

This Wonderful place truly went above and beyond, my husband and I haul oversized loads, and I drive an escort car. It broke down and these kind people got us in IMMEDIATELY and had me ready to go in no time!! Because of them, we are back on schedule and I'm able to get home to my four children. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!!

Date of occurrence: 12/31/21 New Years Eve. Was not expecting anyone to be available to help! There they were right down the road from where my Son and his girlfriend had to pull off the highway because of grinding noise coming from the rear of the car. My son was traveling to Florida after visiting Mom and Dad in Missouri for Christmas! So glad we got to see him. Anyway, he had car issues which started in Birmingham AL. Pulled off the road to see what was wrong. I called all the Firestones in Birmingham to see if they could help with their issues. They all stated that they were not able to help! Figures!!!! Well I told him he would have to chance it and keep driving until it got to a point he could not or was home in FL. He made it to a town called Clanton, AL. Pulled over at Circle K and stated that they could not drive any further with the way that it was grinding. I got on google maps and looked up Automotive Mechanics Near Circle K in Clanton, AL. and a place called Southern Dixie Auto Repair just down the road from where they pulled off. I decided I would help out and call to see if they could help him get fixed. A woman called Angel answered the phone and stated he could bring the car down and they would take a look. He drove down the road and they got him into the shop immediately and was able to fix the rear brakes and have him out the door within an hour or so!!! God brought my son an Angel to help him with this unexpected issue and my stress and worries were completely gone! Thank you Southern Dixie Auto Repair for your quick response and help during the holidays!! Wish you were in my home town I would not hesitate to use your services. IF you are broke down anywhere near Clanton AL. call them, you will not regret the service they offer.

We broke down towing our camper from Florida to Tennessee. Everyone here was kind and helpful. They did everything they could to get us on the road again that day. The part was not available until the next morning, so they let us camp in their parking lot overnight. Did the repair the next morning and got us back on the road. Very professional. Donnie did a great job on our Diesel F250. Best people and service!

My family and I were heading down to Panama City Beach for weekend getaway. As we’re driving down the I-65 south, my car tire busted. We had roadside assistance to help us out spare in. We didn’t want to take the chance to drive to PCB with a spare. As we were waiting to get the spare tire put in. My and wife and I called Southern Dixie Auto Repair. Mrs Robbie picked up the call and told us come without an appointment and she would take care of us. When we got there, my family and I were treated with the kindest and very supportive service. Mrs Robbie went above and beyond to help us, she even gave hooked us up with with a tire they had carried and it was the only one they had. We did get the tire out in but we were told another tire was in a bad shape and needed another tire for that replacement. So the gentleman named Nathan, also went above and beyond to help us with just that. He had already helped with our first tire. So, We asked to check our other tires and he explained to us how the other tire was really out of shape. Therefore, he went above and beyond to help us to drive to another shop to buy a tire and come back to replace the other tire in. He did just that. My wife and I couldn’t be more thankful. These people treated us like their own and were really supportive. I can’t thank them enough. Our trip started out bad with the car incident. But after we took the car to this auto repair, they rejuvenated our mood for the trip. Thank you Mrs Robbie, Nathan, and the team. God bless y’all! Please go see them, they will take really good care of you.

They made time to see us before closing and we’re honest in all they did. It is clear that they care about helping primarily. I wish I could get all of my auto repair done at Southern Dixie.

We was stranded almost 700 miles from home with engine trouble, it was the scariest thing we have ever been through because we had our 3 kids with us. We showed up to the shop with no appointment. With got there at 8:00am and they had us fixed in a little over an hour. I wasn’t sure what was wrong with the car but just explaining to Arron what is was doing he knew exactly what was wrong with it. They checked out the rest of the car to make sure nothing else was wrong with it and we made it back to Indiana just fine. Just wanted to say thanks again, and if I have car issues in the future I’m going to give them a call for the advice, I know they will point me in the right direction.
