Rv park is just off hiway. Great big park and sites are spacious. There is a pool, hot.tub clean and welcoming. Tennis courts or pickelball. Dog park very small. Pond. Activities minimal. Bingo and Elvis came.to entertain 👌. Close to.brownsville downtown and 20km plus to boca chica and space X. And beach. Easy access to SPI and Port isabel. 👌

Just got here, staying for the month of March. Nice park and amenities. They could use some work on the lawns and plant some trees. The trains whistling at night are a surprise but we're getting used to them. Tonnes of space between the lots, which is a huge plus. Staff are super friendly!!

Pros: Large sites, canopy option, nice pool, nice facilities. Cons: Pool is not heated, washers/dryers are out of order a lot, they are on a tight budget. We would stay here again but they should not be advertising on social media that they have golf carts available (they don’t have enough) or laundry on site (less then 1/2 of machines work at any given time).

This is a beautiful park with good sites and great amenities. I just can't rate it higher due to our experience with the staff. Activities could make much better use of the facilities and come up with some ideas that don't cost more $$$$. But the office staff is what really turned us off to this place. First, we had booked a deluxe back in. Prior to our arrival, they called and told us they were moving us to a pull-through because they were renovating our original site....not a problem. But when we arrived, there were people in that site?!? Why lie about the reason for the move? Second, and more importantly, we gave a $200 utilities deposit when we made our 1 month reservation. About 3 weeks into our stay, our credit card was charged for electric usage. I emailed inquiring about this and received no response. I let it go as we were leaving soon. The day we left, we received another bill for electric. This time we called, got no answer and left a voicemail. Later that day, I followed up with another email.....no response to either. The next day we called again and finally got a person...who could not care less about not responding to voice messages or emails. She verified that our last electric was taken from the deposit but then said they are mailing us a paper check in 3 weeks. Apparently they can charge our credit card easily but cannot return an overage. We are traveling until May so this lack of service is really unacceptable. We will not be returning to this park. There are plenty of other options and most are less expensive.

This is my second time staying at this park. It's one of the best places I've parked at and I'm grateful to come home and park my camper here. Space between spots, large spots, covered spots available, beautiful pool, 24/7 rec area, propane fill station, send and receive mail, and much more.

Has potential to be a nice place. Too many construction workers living there. Loud cars/trucks 5am. mud is everywhere from trucks cutting off corners. People do not obey safe driving habits or speed limits. Bugs need to be sprayed . Dog park is a 30x30 square - hardly enough room to get exercise. Activities are lacking👎

Great clean and safe RV park. They offer shaded and unshaded slips. Community pool, shuffle board and PICKELBALL courts. Just a few minutes from Sunrise mall in Brownsville.

My family and I stayed here for a week on our trip down to visit family. It’s in a nice quiet part of Brownsville. While there isn’t much to do in the immediate area of the park, you are not a long drive from a lot of the great things Brownsville has to offer. Also, just 30-40 min from south padre, depending on the traffic. We stayed across the street from the pool, which my kids loved. The pool was a great size and never felt too crowded. When we weren’t at the pool our little ones loved playing in the in the large grassy areas and climbing the mesquite tree by our site. Overall we can’t wait to stay here again!

All considering this park needs a lot and is neglected and over rated. Stayed her for a week based on reviews and is not what we expected. First the park is in the middle of no where and I mean no where. Nothing within biking distance or walking distance, the winds are non stop windy. The grass is still, well there isn’t any nor do they water to grow any, was all weeds which they don’t keep trimmed or cut. Dust and dirt in the trailer everyday. The water is incredibly hard and stains everything. The pool(only 1 pool for the size of this park) get full quick. If you don’t have your seat or chair by 9am bring your own. Oh yah, though they do offer good rates on gold carts, you will need it because it’s a long drive to the pool. There is also a daily resort fee per person for whatever reason they tack onto your bill. The park is way over rated and way over priced considering all the conditions I listed. And the funny part of this, if you go to there website they claim it’s a 9.5 star according to good sams reviews, yet when you go to good sams reviews to look up there park it isn’t listed. Definitely don’t recommend this park nor will we ever return.

This is our third winter at tropical trails. If you are a glamper this is the place for you if you are a social creature This is the place for you.. this is one of the top RV resorts in America. The staff is very professional and helpful. this is our seventh year as a full-time RVer. That being said we will not be back not because of the RV park but because of the wind, it is relentless day and night nonstop. Of course there’s nothing the RV park can do about the wind. If you’re near the ocean, there’s going to be wind. We just can’t take the wind anymore! I still give this place five stars!

Be careful! They charge you more directly on the credit card than it was confirmed when we did the reservation. We also changed the dates a few weeks before our arrival and they didn’t credit the days we cancelled. I have all the confirmations by email and they don’t want to reimbursed us and it’s more than 200$. There is also a train who pass every night and horn. I don’t recommend this RV resort, because they don’t respect their price!

We did like staying there because of the space we got, but it got super expensive. The prices went up double, so yes we did leave. Also make sure to verify that you do get your deposit back. I haven't received mine since November and whenever I call they say they will get back to me and never do and the manager doesn't even answer my email. They won't hesitate to take your money but whenever it comes to get it back just be prepared.

Tropical Trails RV resort had great options for day rates, weekly and monthly options. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and activities they provide. We appreciated their assistance with things as they came up and they were very responsive to requests and made themselves available. They just installed new washers/dryers, so it was nice to have upgraded options with access to an app for easy payment. It even gave notifications on our phone when the laundry was done. Come prepared with some bug spray! We noticed the mosquitos were bad during our stay (winter season). Once it rains (couple times a week) it seems they all come out (to hunt). The RV resort also had a new irrigation system so it allowed more breeding ground. They are working out the kinks and also spray to minimize the mosquitoes, but we still got ate….just come prepared! During the winter, large flocks of birds migrate to the area, it is also important to note that the birds will often frequent your roof and you will hear them walking around and squawking, and do sometimes poop on vehicles. We didn’t notice any harm or concerns, but do take note. We had to keep a wipe and spray on hand to clean surfaces and spot clean as needed. Keep in mind, the admin team got a new invoicing system that they were learning to operate and they were working out the kinks in the system during our stay. Do note, a train comes at 9pm, 12am, 3am and 6am. It isn’t too loud, but enough to where you do notice it. We expected it to go by, so we were prepared. After a week we stopped noticing it so much. Other than this, we had a great stay! Hope this information helps you prepare for your vacation!

We stay at Tropical Trails RV resorts for a wedding was not disappointed. The resort is very clean and spacious. The pool and amenities was clean including the shower and bathroom. The staff is friendly. Definitely will be coming back.
