Awesome location and very friendly staff and guests. Lots of activities and nice “farmer’s market”! Great Internet access if you have a cable and router. We had good T-Mobile and Verizon signals for hotspots too. All utilities worked as they should. Site was nice and level with very easy in and out on the roads. Tip: ask for a premium site if you have slides on both sides. Newer park, so landscaping still in process and you may have lots of mud by services (we did, some didn’t).

This park deserves all the stars rating and then more. ||||When we arrived, we were greeted by Jan, the manager. She is a warm friendly woman who sets the tone for the great customer service we received during our stay in the park. She got us registered and gave us an overview of all the activities that happen in the park and in the park. We were then escorted to our site. ||||Every site is large, 12 feet wide by 90 ft long concrete pads along with a large concrete patio. There is at least 50 feet between each site. This campground is only three years old so it is made for large RVs. The roads within the park are large and easy to maneuver our 40’ fifth wheel. Each site has full hookups that are in the middle of the site so easy hook ups. In addition, there is fiber optic internet for each site. ||||The bathhouses and laundry rooms are scattered throughout the park and are clean and modern.||||This park goes out of their way to organize all kinds of events within the park (live music, food, margaritas, pickle ball tournaments, shuffleboard tournaments, etc...) and out of the park (zoo visits, sea turtle visits, dinners on South Padre, rodeos and etc.) ||||The best of all was meeting and visiting with the friendly people staying there. There are a few trains that travel through, but once you hear the first one you got use to them. They did not bother us. A few times the wind blew pretty hard, but I will take the wind along with the nice temperatures!! You have heard the saying, "You get what you pay for." At Tropical Trails, you get more than you pay for. It is truly a wonderful place, and we plan on returning next winter.||The customer service is the best! All staff are helpful and friendly. There is great communication from them in regards to activities, weather events, mail and anything else you would want to know.

There are not words to express how wonderful this park is. It will spoil you and make all others campgrounds seem lacking. This park deserves all the stars rating and then more. My family and I stayed here for a little under a year and overall it’s a nice quiet park. We enjoyed the gated security and fact that you can’t hear too much traffic noice from busy highways! It would have been much nicer if the park was more “family friendly” as advertised on their website. Right after we moved in, we received an email stating that no children under the age of FOURTEEN were allowed in the hot tub for “health concerns”!!! SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!? I would suggest to hire a lifeguard if their concerns were a priority instead of accommodating to the people who complained about children in the hot tub! Also, for how big the park is, a private park for the kiddos would have been amazing! I also wouldn’t recommend the on site laundry at all!!! They are super tiny, go out of service regularly and usually full of dog hair! They do have a designated washer /dryer for pets, however people don’t always oblige to the rules. However, maintenance staff was always nice when passing by collecting trash/or upkeeping the yard.

We stayed in site 94. Very nice cement pad with picnic table. The wifi hookup was easy. We bought the recommended router and cord. The staff are very nice. We talked mainly to Mike and Yuan and they helped to to find great places to eat and visit. ||||Highly recommend you visit Space X, Palo Alto Battlefield, Sable Palm Tree sanctuary and Padre Island. ||||The showers, laundry and Pool and spa area are very nice and well maintained.

We stayed here for six nights last week. Our intent was to stay for five nights but a cold front moved in along with high winds. We asked for an additional night and they were so accommodating. They rearranged so we could stay at our original site. That day, they hosted a ham & bean soup luncheon for $2. The soup was delicious and much appreciated. The staff is wonderful. Good, honest folks.

Coming from Arkansas trying to escape the COLD winter weather we decided to go South..led us to Brownsville, Tx..Tropical Trails RV & Resort..It had a 5 star rating on the online reviews..and I can say it's lived up to the 5 Stars...There are many different club activities planned for each month, besides the pool has a Hot Tub, and several presentations are made about special prices for Dolphin Watch, Brownsville Boat Tour., Pirate Ship, and Gladys Porter Zool . I love it here 💖

I loved our stay at Tropical Trails! I learned how to play pickle ball and felt there was a ton of fun activities. The spacious sites, friendly staff, and closeness to the beach will make this an annual stop for these snowbirds.

We have stayed at this resort about 4 times, 3 times in our travel trailer and 1 using their cottage. I highly recommend this place as its very peaceful and it has great amenities! All guests we have encountered have always been very friendly as well as the people working the front office! I will continue using this resort every time we come down from Austin! Prices are also very reasonable, the sites are perfectly sized, and above all, its great having water, sewer, electric and even wifi connections! Overall I give this resort an A++++

This RV park had the most real estate per lot that I have ever seen! The sewer connection was on point for height and distance. Water had great pressure and the dryers did an amazing job drying all of my stuff quickly. They have curbside trash service (at scheduled times). Very little interaction with the staff but service was great each time. If I ever visit South Padre again, I'd stay here.

Tropical Trails Resort, although new, is an amazing place. Yes as a park in Texas it is going to be windy, but, rather wind than snow! We were here two weeks when we decided to rebook for next year. They have lots of activities to do, as always it is your choice to enjoy the activities, or sit by your site.||The owners and staff are truly engaged in all activities. It is great to see. Live bands, shrimp boil, happy hour with fun prizes, Taco Tuesdays, shuttle bus to south Padres Island for drinks, the list goes on! Golf course is only 15min away. Fishing and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico only 25 min away. ||Did we mention the sites are huge! Full hook ups, and best part, site garbage pickup. Just an added bonus. ||We are now Winter Texans! We leave in April 2022 after 6mnths of living the dream.||Next year we will definitely be back.

I don't normally write reviews but after reading the review posted by Dale Wilkerson I felt compelled to comment. While I was not present when his alleged incident occurred I can comment on what I do know. Dale Wilkerson obviously knows nothing about dogs. The dog he refers to is not a Bull Mastiff. Also, Bull Mastiffs are normally not overly aggressive and certainly not one of the most aggressive breeds. The dog he referred to (Abel) is very familiar to me and he is not aggressive to either people or other dogs. Dale obviously does not understand basic decency. To wait until after leaving the park and then trashing the staff is cowardly at best. If he truly believed the dog was dangerous to be around he should have reported it immediately. Obviously he was not concerned for his or anyone else's safety. My wife and I have been staying at Tropical Trail Resort since July. We have found the park to be well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly and the owner goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable and happy with their experience at Tropical Trails. I strongly recommend you disregard Dale's comments when considering Tropical Trails Resort. As a long term resident I can state his comments are simply untrue. We are full time RVers and this is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in.

We absolutely loved staying here! The owner and staff go outta their way to make sure things are kept up and clean. The front office Jan and Catrina and welcoming and friendly. I got to meet beautiful Abel he is a bundle of love. Looks are deceiving when you first see him. But no fear he’ll give you kisses and just loves to be petted.. Juan does an amazing job and is always willing to help make your stay as comfortable and accommodating to your needs, thus my pictures. We were allowed to plant trees and seed are area was provided with timers and hoses to water. We will be back as this is a family whom we miss!!❤️
