Relatively new park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sites are well maintained. The concrete pads were level and long enough for a 40 ft class A and parking the towed. The sites have an impressive amount of space between the sites. They are still working on getting the grass established between sites. Large pool and pool area. Hot tub adjacent to the pool. Pickleball courts and shuffleboard next to the pool area. Fitness center was not large but had some equipment. There are 3 laundry/shower/restroom buildings. Lots of organized activities. Vendors occasionally on property by office. This is a large park but it is spread out so the is no cramped feeling. Outside of the city, has a country feel but 5 minutes and you're in rthe heart of Brownsville. Definitely recommend.

This is a great park, lots to keep you busy. Owner and staff go out of there way to help. Only problem is the wind, it blows almost every day. We were there 2 months and got to put our awning 4 times. When the say it’s breezy put everything away, if they say windy put everything inside or tie it down.

2nd year we’ve been to Tropical Trails and we will be going back next year. Last year we “accidentally” found this park and while it was a bit pricey we decided to go. OMG! What you get for this money is awesome! The absolute largest lot size we’ve ever had, excellent internet, so many scheduled activities and staff that actually remembers your name. Oh and BTW, it’s not all that pricey compared to other places. We had a super deluxe site and have found this to be no more expensive that lessor parks. Hill and all the staff are so customer service focused you’d think you were at a 5-star hotel! The pool area is very nice and laundry and shower areas are clean and very nice as well. We were disappointed by the weather this year but believe if Hill could have warmed it up… he would! Let’s talk about the most important aspects. The People! We have made life- long friends at Tropical Trails and expect when we go back next year, we’ll make more. There was even a camper who had a hospital stay and the management and fellow campers took care of the animals and cooked food for the person! You just don’t find that! Suggestions would be perhaps a second dog park because with all the dogs… we need it. Maybe an ATM???? IDK what else this park could offer but we are fans! Thanks Hill, Donell and all the staff❤️

February 2022 turned out to be record-breaking.....colder and windier than normal! Even then, Tropical Trails offered great sites, a comfortable clubhouse, plenty of activities and, did I mention the happy hours? Very fun! The staff works very hard to accommodate guests, from activities to garbage pickup (daily at your site), propane refills (again, pickup and delivery at your site) and keeping the beautiful pool sparkling. Clean restrooms and great laundries. Thank you!

Tropical Trails has great spots for the RVers but they also have cottages for those who are not campers. What a great idea! Everything you need. They have a great pool and hot tub area, ample parking, laundry facilities, and a long fun list of things to do. Everyone is very friendly and always willing to share their experiences of places to eat and things to see. We met many people from all walks of life.

Awesome location and very friendly staff and guests. Lots of activities and nice “farmer’s market”! Great Internet access if you have a cable and router. We had good T-Mobile and Verizon signals for hotspots too. All utilities worked as they should. Site was nice and level with very easy in and out on the roads. Tip: ask for a premium site if you have slides on both sides. Newer park, so landscaping still in process and you may have lots of mud by services (we did, some didn’t).

This park deserves all the stars rating and then more. ||||When we arrived, we were greeted by Jan, the manager. She is a warm friendly woman who sets the tone for the great customer service we received during our stay in the park. She got us registered and gave us an overview of all the activities that happen in the park and in the park. We were then escorted to our site. ||||Every site is large, 12 feet wide by 90 ft long concrete pads along with a large concrete patio. There is at least 50 feet between each site. This campground is only three years old so it is made for large RVs. The roads within the park are large and easy to maneuver our 40’ fifth wheel. Each site has full hookups that are in the middle of the site so easy hook ups. In addition, there is fiber optic internet for each site. ||||The bathhouses and laundry rooms are scattered throughout the park and are clean and modern.||||This park goes out of their way to organize all kinds of events within the park (live music, food, margaritas, pickle ball tournaments, shuffleboard tournaments, etc...) and out of the park (zoo visits, sea turtle visits, dinners on South Padre, rodeos and etc.) ||||The best of all was meeting and visiting with the friendly people staying there. There are a few trains that travel through, but once you hear the first one you got use to them. They did not bother us. A few times the wind blew pretty hard, but I will take the wind along with the nice temperatures!! You have heard the saying, "You get what you pay for." At Tropical Trails, you get more than you pay for. It is truly a wonderful place, and we plan on returning next winter.||The customer service is the best! All staff are helpful and friendly. There is great communication from them in regards to activities, weather events, mail and anything else you would want to know.

There are not words to express how wonderful this park is. It will spoil you and make all others campgrounds seem lacking. This park deserves all the stars rating and then more. My family and I stayed here for a little under a year and overall it’s a nice quiet park. We enjoyed the gated security and fact that you can’t hear too much traffic noice from busy highways! It would have been much nicer if the park was more “family friendly” as advertised on their website. Right after we moved in, we received an email stating that no children under the age of FOURTEEN were allowed in the hot tub for “health concerns”!!! SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!? I would suggest to hire a lifeguard if their concerns were a priority instead of accommodating to the people who complained about children in the hot tub! Also, for how big the park is, a private park for the kiddos would have been amazing! I also wouldn’t recommend the on site laundry at all!!! They are super tiny, go out of service regularly and usually full of dog hair! They do have a designated washer /dryer for pets, however people don’t always oblige to the rules. However, maintenance staff was always nice when passing by collecting trash/or upkeeping the yard.

We stayed in site 94. Very nice cement pad with picnic table. The wifi hookup was easy. We bought the recommended router and cord. The staff are very nice. We talked mainly to Mike and Yuan and they helped to to find great places to eat and visit. ||||Highly recommend you visit Space X, Palo Alto Battlefield, Sable Palm Tree sanctuary and Padre Island. ||||The showers, laundry and Pool and spa area are very nice and well maintained.

We stayed here for six nights last week. Our intent was to stay for five nights but a cold front moved in along with high winds. We asked for an additional night and they were so accommodating. They rearranged so we could stay at our original site. That day, they hosted a ham & bean soup luncheon for $2. The soup was delicious and much appreciated. The staff is wonderful. Good, honest folks.

Coming from Arkansas trying to escape the COLD winter weather we decided to go South..led us to Brownsville, Tx..Tropical Trails RV & Resort..It had a 5 star rating on the online reviews..and I can say it's lived up to the 5 Stars...There are many different club activities planned for each month, besides the pool has a Hot Tub, and several presentations are made about special prices for Dolphin Watch, Brownsville Boat Tour., Pirate Ship, and Gladys Porter Zool . I love it here 💖

I loved our stay at Tropical Trails! I learned how to play pickle ball and felt there was a ton of fun activities. The spacious sites, friendly staff, and closeness to the beach will make this an annual stop for these snowbirds.
