I am sorry but Dale is not being honest. Shame on him for putting someones address on an open website. I have been in the office and the dog in question has never behaved in an aggressive manner towards me or anyone who has entered the office while I was present. Onsite staff is amazing and they work hard to make our lives here pleasant and easy. The owner and staff listen to residents and I feel certain that there would have been NO repercussions had he chosen to speak up while still living in the park. I for one hope that people will disregard Dales post. I am fully enjoying my stay here and look forward to meeting all my new neighbors who come to stay at Tropical Trails.

Nice RV park, a long list of rules that make the place nice, however the staff living onsite are not subject to the rules like the customers are. BEWARE!!! I entered the office and did not see anyone except for a large bull mastiff staring me down, he was unleashed. It was a Sunday afternoon.I am a grown man and could have probably defended myself, but had it been a child or a small adult, who knows. Aggressive breeds are not supposed to be allowed on the premises?????? I called out, and the office attendant came out in a panic, and immediately grabbed the dog by the collar. She was obviously surprised, and startled. This incident happened two-three weeks ago, and the park employee at space #84 still has the dog. Bull Mastiffs are probably one of the most aggressive dog breeds there are. SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED!! I did not complain before today because I was fearful of repercussions. I am checking out this week, for work!

Over the past year Tropical Trails was our home when we were not traveling, it is by far the BEST park in the RGV! The staff is friendly and extremely helpful! The amount of space you have is awesome! The pool area is fabulous! During the peak time of the year there are so many wonderful activities you will never get bored, always something to do! If you are ever in the RGV or if you are planning a trip down this way, call the ladies in the office and reserve your spot!

Clean, Clean, Clean. My 1st time visiting. Showers are clean, and spacious. Laundry room accepts cc or coin. This place is 20 mins away from SPI. You are not paying the high fees, and you have plenty of elbow room between pad sites. I will be planning my future vacays here. Thank You!!

This place is literally in the middle of no where. But we loved it. Very short drive though to all of your needs. Pool is big and nice!! The “Rec Room” was nice. They have a chef’s kitchen that you can use. That was lovely. Katie the receptionist was very helpful and such a sweetheart.

We booked for a whole month for our children to have a good time before returning to school. The website says they are family friendly. We had a wonderful first weekend, the place is amazing, lots to do, but for some reason I’m not entirely convinced they’re committed to the “family friendly” messaging advertised on the website. I’ll update my review at the end of our month stay.

We stayed at Tropical Trails from December through March and the weather is perfect for those looking to get away from the winter cold. Sites are spaced nicely from each other and are perfectly level. They have fiber internet hookups at each site- you can bring your WiFi router from home and be up on your own network in a couple minutes. I work remotely in IT, this is hands down the best internet service I’ve ever seen at a park. The owners are lovely and the staff is too. Juan is the best! We liked the Shrimp Boils the best, but there are a lot of activities planned in addition to the rest of the awesome amenities- heated pool, hot tub is awesome, gym, ping pong, shuffleboard etc. They also have the best Pickleball courts I have ever seen, and offer weekly lessons! My best Pickleball description - ping-pong on a half sized tennis court using a wiffle ball and a wooden paddle. It’s so fun. Monthly rates are very reasonable, I think the park just opened back up when we visited because of covid, so be sure to book in advance so you can get a spot. The only cons to be aware of: It’s a brand new park. It takes time/water to cover 150 acres in new grass seed. It will be muddy in parts. If you are a very light sleeper there is a train that runs by almost every night around 11pm. All in all, I would hands down recommend

I wish I could give this amazing RV Park a 10 star rating. What a beautiful, well-designed park! Everyone - Katie, Jan, Hill & Juan - was so super nice and extremely helpful when we got locked out of our motorhome (the handle broke). The WIFI is AMAZING, the pool beautiful, the laundry rooms and bathrooms convenient and well maintained. Lots of 'yard' between sites and all sites are flat, wide and paved. The roads in the park are all paved and named ~ nice, since it's such a big park! And, bonus.....the entire park is flat, so its easy to bike/walk/skate/play. Great dog park, conveniently located next to the bathroom/laundry building. The entire park is fenced and a gate for security. Brownsville is a great little town and we felt like the people who lived here really took pride in their surroundings. Love this town and LOVE this park! Highly recommend. We will be back!

Brand new Resort. Huge RV spaces with lots of room between rigs. Felt very private. Laundry, showers, bathrooms, fitness center are all state of the art. Level concrete pads. A nice pond in the back. Pool and hot tub. Gated and coded entrance, felt very secure. We spend three nights here for our wedding anniversary, traveling from Oregon to Texas. We stayed at a lot of places but Tropical Trails has to be the BEST we encountered so far! Thank you, and also thank you to the wonderful staff working on site! So friendly and helpful! Definitely highly recommend this park.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Newer RV Resort. Level, concrete pads. Fantastic hot tub and pool. High speed internet, full hook up. Be aware there is an active train track on the backside of the park. I did not find it to be a problem. Mail delivery is accepted and we had no problems at all. Near enough to SpaceX Boca Chica and South Padre Island. Very close to the Palo Alto Battlefield.

This RV Park is absolutely wonderful. The owner Hill and his employees could not have been any nicer. We were suppose to stay 1 1/2 months and we stayed 4 1/2 months and it was a great time. We met some of the nicest people at the park. The sites are spacious and the amenities were great. If there is a negative at all it is the wind. Of course there is nothing anyone can do about that. Again its a 5 star for me.

This was a 10 star RV park, the staff was the nicest you will find ANYWHERE. Hill the owner goes out of his way for everyone making them feel so very welcome. The sites are the most spacious you will find. Dispite the cold 2021 winter we had an the time of our life and would go back every year. Thank you Hill & Donelle

One of the best RV Resorts we have been to! The resort itself is fairly new so the grass is still growing in and the palm trees are still small. I have never been to a park that is so spread out, fantastic amount of room between spaces and all the pads are cement with a patio. They also have actual ethernet to each site and provide you with a Wi-Fi router to put inside your rig for your own private Wi-Fi network. By far the best internet experience that we have found. But the best thing is the Owner and Staff. The Owner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and the staff is always happy and helpful. They have 4 Great pickleball courts and the Pool, Shuffle board and common areas are really nice. There is something going on regularly like live music, cornhole tournaments, shuffle board tournaments, hamburgers, shrimp boils, Taco Tuesdays, Pancake breakfast or something. If we are ever in this area we will definitely be coming back!!!!

This new and safe resort is fantastic and well planned. It is out of town but close enough to drive to what you need. The sites are generously spaced and staggered so that you actually have some privacy. The patios at the sites are huge and allow enough space for your chairs and bbq. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. So glad they offer fiber optic internet because my Verizon signal was very poor there. Great abundance of paved roads to walk. It is nice having the pond to look at and enjoy the many varieties of birds. The dog park is clean and offers two fenced in areas. If you don't mind trains and wind, there is no other place that you should stay. Great place to stay for one month through the holidays!
