What a wonderful, well laid out and pretty park. We were in the Catoma loop, which is by far the best place to stay. If you have a large RV, unless you know where you are going, I would stay away from the ANTI loop. The ANTI loop is very rustic, with unlevel sites and bad roads with tight turns. The Cantoma loop contains full hook-ups, level concrete sites (exp 28 & 29). The bathrooms could do with an upgrade. I can’t say enough on how nice this park is.

Was out there for Halloween. What a wonderful time. Love camping there. Safe for children.

This was our third time here. The last being 5 years ago. The park is beautiful!! The bathrooms could be cleaner. There are several sites that back up to the river/water. There are also several pull thru sites. Sad to see how the city of Montgomery has gone down hill. 100's of businesses/stores/hotels etc closed and obviously abandoned.

We enjoyed our 5 nite stay. The grass needed cutting and was not cut during our stay. The bathroom and shower closest to us was in serious need of repair.

So very pleasantly surprised with this beautiful RV park. Our side - Catoma - was so peaceful and idyllic for nature lovers - what a big change from so many RV Parks beside freeways, railroads and even airports! So spacious too andright on the Alabama river/lake! Thank you - we will recommend it to other along the way!

At first we were disappointed because we were in an area w/out full hookup and no grass just dirt and trees. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful. We moved to site 4 andy daughter to site 20 We absolutely love this spot it's all kinds of trees of the RV sits on a cement pad it's just gorgeous we love it it's right close to the river I did find out that you don't swim in the river here cuz I have alligators but there is a boat launching area it is quiet and beautiful.

Very happy with my single night stay (Thurs evening in late April). Two loops in the campground - they feel like two separate campgrounds. Antiloch loop is cheaper. It can accommodate RVs, but looks more geared for tent campers. Flat crushed stone sites with electric, water, fire rings, and a lantern pole. Sites are smaller but in a nice wooded area, and close to the boat launch. Catoma loop is more for RVs. Paved sites that are long/deep with electric, water, sewer, fire ring, and lantern pole. Very private on this side. Showers and bathrooms (okay). Laundry (didn't use it, so can't comment) Boat ramp (didn't use, so can't comment) No store in camp but dollar general is minutes away. No firewood sold in park.

There was a lot to like at this campground: full hookups & concrete pads with privacy in the Catoma loop, laundry facilities, nice gate attendants & a decent Verizon cell signal. The Antioch loop was like a different campground altogether with gravel sites (some unlevel) and some potholes in the rough roadways. The reason for the three star rating was the poor upkeep of the restrooms...they all were in desperate need of a good deep cleaning.

We love this place! The sites are very large and private, nice and shady, level concrete pads. Beautiful, clean park! The hosts are incredible, very friendly and willing to help with anything at all. There is also a race track across from the park, but on Catoma Loop we never heard it all. There is a bit of a drop off to the water, but that doesn't bother us. Sites 25 - 28 are great, best views. It's just a few miles to Montgomery, where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. There is a Dollar General just a couple of miles from the park. This is definitely 1 of our favorites just to get away and relax.

As a frequent camper and goes to a lot of COE campgrounds, this one by far is one of my least favorites. You get the feeling of being an a snooty RV park. The people at the front were unwelcoming. You also get the feeling of being on top of each other, and the excessively barking dogs. If you're looking for a quiet campground this place is not for you. You really don't get the "outdoorsy feel." You get more of a concrete jungle here.

An *excellent* campground with full hookups, concrete level sites, spacious distancing between campers, and river access. We did a 6 week trip through the southwest and this was my favorite campground that we used. Feels like it's out in the boonies but it's close to all things Montgomery (15 minutes). Highly recommend!

We are full timers and when not dry camping or Boondocking we stay in COE parks. We stayed in the Antioch loop site 90, which we loved as it went back to the water. Only drawback, it is a buddy site with 91, so when both sites are occupied, it’s rather tight getting in and out of site. While the sites don’t have sewer, they do have Electric and water, they’re shaded and our site was on a small inlet so we enjoyed watching the Egrets fish. During the week, the loop was quite and peaceful. Camp host helpful and friendly. It filled up some on the weekend and while not noisy, it wasn’t as peaceful. The bathroom/shower house is dated, but clean, downfalls my husband said men’s showers 2-4 the partition is missing so it’s wide open. The women’s side had 5 private stalls and the water was hot. There is a laundry area with 2 washers and dryers, dated, but got clothes clean. $1.00 per load. If you enjoy rustic then this loop is great, if you prefer niceties and full hookups, I’d suggest staying in Catoma, which is the newer loop. We use Verizon and had 2-3 bars.

Nice, large, clean sites. Laundry closed because of Covid? Overall good experience. Sites 1-75 have septic. Sites along the riverbank are mostly steep and water is inaccessable. If it weren't for loud neighbors with four dogs tied up with ropes and electric kid toy circling the road.... it would be perfect. Boring but perfect. Ohh! SNAKES MOCCISANS- -RATTLE SNAKES! One of each were killed there the week we visited.

We stopped by for two nights on our way from Nashville, Tennessee to Destin, Florida. The site we were on (#102) has a great view! We stayed in the Antioch loop. I gave it a 4 star because this loop needs some updating and the bathrooms were a bit run down. Having said that, I loved that all the sites had tons of shade and I kind of like woodsy, cozy, private(ish) camping. The sites are very well separated with lots of trees. It was quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
