Very happy with my single night stay (Thurs evening in late April). Two loops in the campground - they feel like two separate campgrounds. Antiloch loop is cheaper. It can accommodate RVs, but looks more geared for tent campers. Flat crushed stone sites with electric, water, fire rings, and a lantern pole. Sites are smaller but in a nice wooded area, and close to the boat launch. Catoma loop is more for RVs. Paved sites that are long/deep with electric, water, sewer, fire ring, and lantern pole. Very private on this side. Showers and bathrooms (okay). Laundry (didn't use it, so can't comment) Boat ramp (didn't use, so can't comment) No store in camp but dollar general is minutes away. No firewood sold in park.

There was a lot to like at this campground: full hookups & concrete pads with privacy in the Catoma loop, laundry facilities, nice gate attendants & a decent Verizon cell signal. The Antioch loop was like a different campground altogether with gravel sites (some unlevel) and some potholes in the rough roadways. The reason for the three star rating was the poor upkeep of the restrooms...they all were in desperate need of a good deep cleaning.

We love this place! The sites are very large and private, nice and shady, level concrete pads. Beautiful, clean park! The hosts are incredible, very friendly and willing to help with anything at all. There is also a race track across from the park, but on Catoma Loop we never heard it all. There is a bit of a drop off to the water, but that doesn't bother us. Sites 25 - 28 are great, best views. It's just a few miles to Montgomery, where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. There is a Dollar General just a couple of miles from the park. This is definitely 1 of our favorites just to get away and relax.

As a frequent camper and goes to a lot of COE campgrounds, this one by far is one of my least favorites. You get the feeling of being an a snooty RV park. The people at the front were unwelcoming. You also get the feeling of being on top of each other, and the excessively barking dogs. If you're looking for a quiet campground this place is not for you. You really don't get the "outdoorsy feel." You get more of a concrete jungle here.

An *excellent* campground with full hookups, concrete level sites, spacious distancing between campers, and river access. We did a 6 week trip through the southwest and this was my favorite campground that we used. Feels like it's out in the boonies but it's close to all things Montgomery (15 minutes). Highly recommend!

We are full timers and when not dry camping or Boondocking we stay in COE parks. We stayed in the Antioch loop site 90, which we loved as it went back to the water. Only drawback, it is a buddy site with 91, so when both sites are occupied, it’s rather tight getting in and out of site. While the sites don’t have sewer, they do have Electric and water, they’re shaded and our site was on a small inlet so we enjoyed watching the Egrets fish. During the week, the loop was quite and peaceful. Camp host helpful and friendly. It filled up some on the weekend and while not noisy, it wasn’t as peaceful. The bathroom/shower house is dated, but clean, downfalls my husband said men’s showers 2-4 the partition is missing so it’s wide open. The women’s side had 5 private stalls and the water was hot. There is a laundry area with 2 washers and dryers, dated, but got clothes clean. $1.00 per load. If you enjoy rustic then this loop is great, if you prefer niceties and full hookups, I’d suggest staying in Catoma, which is the newer loop. We use Verizon and had 2-3 bars.

Nice, large, clean sites. Laundry closed because of Covid? Overall good experience. Sites 1-75 have septic. Sites along the riverbank are mostly steep and water is inaccessable. If it weren't for loud neighbors with four dogs tied up with ropes and electric kid toy circling the road.... it would be perfect. Boring but perfect. Ohh! SNAKES MOCCISANS- -RATTLE SNAKES! One of each were killed there the week we visited.

We stopped by for two nights on our way from Nashville, Tennessee to Destin, Florida. The site we were on (#102) has a great view! We stayed in the Antioch loop. I gave it a 4 star because this loop needs some updating and the bathrooms were a bit run down. Having said that, I loved that all the sites had tons of shade and I kind of like woodsy, cozy, private(ish) camping. The sites are very well separated with lots of trees. It was quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice Campground. The plentiful grassy areas had been recently mowed, so it was ready for the big crowd on Labor Day Weekend. There are two loops at Gunter Hill; Antioch and Catoma. We stayed on Catoma, the newer of the two loops... much prettier, plus it has full hook ups, which cannot be said for Antioch. We stayed at site #7. Not bad, but there were some that were MUCH better. We were surprised to find that this Campground didn't close their playgrounds due to COVID. We have been to a few other Corps of Engineers facilities lately, and this is the only one that didn't seem to observe COVID precautions. We also didn't see camp hosts at all during our stay except when we entered and exited the Campground. Not sure what that says about their level of service, especially considering that we saw more than one overflowing trash can at the boat ramp and bath houses. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we will likely give them another try someday.

We had a group in 3 sites in Antioch...132, 133, and 134. Campers were 18 ft., 22 ft. and 42 ft. It was very shady and sites were nice. Would have given 5 stars except bathhouse needed some changes with walls between shower stalls and flusher fixed in mens restroom so children could flush them. We will return to this campground!!

Great park to take an RV and/or boat. Booked up most of the time, but no wonder. Price and location was very good. Looks like most of the sites are shaded. Park is well kept and clean. Very relaxing place. Hosts were friendly and helpful. This is on our go back to list.

Quite, level campground. Has concrete pads with picnic table. Sites are long and could accommodate large rigs. Ours is 37 ft and we could have easily parked a suv in front of it. 50/30 amp with sewer and water. Current rate $26/night. 2 of my kids saw fireflies for the first time. Great place to stay.

Stayed in spot 81 Antioch loop for one night only. The raceway is on the other side of the trees and it was so unbearably loud we couldn't sleep for forever. Facilities were clean but very old. There were no shower heads on the womens showers. It was like needles coming out on my little girl. Camp hosts were nice. Probably wont stay here again though.

Outstanding campground in a wooded setting. Catoma loop sites are full hookup. Level, paved, back -in and pull thru sites with a picnic table, grill and fire ring. The sites are large and very well separated. Very well designed and well maintained. Showers and restrooms were clean and well maintained. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

Great campground! Nice paved driveways with FULL hookups in Catoma loop, Antioch loop is more secluded, with gravel suites and no sewer hookups...I don't think so anyways. Sites 1-75 are all improved.
