Love the Park. Excellent location from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. Great hosts and the wifi is also a plus. Never seen one bee so I think the bad review was some other problem, I guess the great pricing was too much for them. Park was very clean and the bathrooms were the best I have ever seen. I was also impressed by the laundry rooms as they were also very clean. Just in general when I come through this area again this is the place I will be staying. They have a rec room, adult hot tub, pool, putput golf and a dog park. Best Place to Stay!

This place is a great place for families. It is right on the edge of Mesa Verde National Park and has all the amenities you would want for an extended glamping vacation. The cabins are tiny but have modern features like a TV and an AC unit. We didn't spend much time in the cabin because there was so much to offer outside of it. They have a very clean pool and a hot tub for adults only. Their game room is pretty sweet with a pool table, TV, and a couple arcade games. The view at night was spectacular and it was super quiet and relaxing. We had such a great time there and if we ever come back to the area, we will be sure to stay here again. Scooter Tank

What a great place! It is directly across the freeway from Meas Verde National Park and is the closest to the park. Very friendly owner/manager and the facilities are clean and comfortable. We stayed in our RV and the owner/manager went out of his way to make sure we were in a shaded spot, although not all sites are. The facility offers a somewhat sparse convenience store, a clean swimming pool and a mini-golf course. We love Mesa Verde National Park and will return often. And when we do we will stay again at Ancient Cedars.

I have to say I was surprised to read some of the reviews when the previous owner was there! My experience was fantastic! I was told there were new owners and they plan on expanding this site quite a bit. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and we all had a great time. There was a big group of us, 15, and we had 3 cabins and one RV site. We also brought a trailer with a couple motorcycles sonwe could ride them through Mesa Verde. All the staff were very accommodating and so friendly. The kids had a great time in the pool, playing mini golf and just hanging out. They loved the rec area. The adults loved the hot tub! The cabins were nice and clean. The bathrooms were always very clean, showers were nice and water was plenty hot. The extras like laundry and a deep sink to wash pots and pans was very convenient. Also able to buy bags of ice and they were only 3 bucks. The staff were always out first thing in the morning cleaning the pool and hot tubs, throwing trash, maintaining the grounds. And they were always talkative, friendly and helpful. It was great having Mesa Verde right across the highway from the park. Loved the stay and I would definitely recommend this place!! Seems like the new owners have really made a difference and this park is very welcoming and accommodating.

We stayed here in one of the cabins a few weeks ago. The location is great, right across from the entrance to Mesa Verde. Everyone was so nice, the grounds were kept up and had beautiful landscaping, and the cabin was just right for us and very clean. The bathrooms were immaculate every time we went in them! I would definitely recommend this park!!!

The location of this campground is awesome, facing Mesa Verde National Park right across the highway. It has a mini golf course, a little pool, and a very pleasant hot tub in the shadow of Mesa Verde. The staff was friendly. The showers were individual stalls with decent hot water pressure. All in all a lovely place to spend a few days. I’ve removed 1 star because they put us in an RV site that wasn’t pull-through, even after we explained that with a 22 foot motor home set up to a tow a tiny Smart Car, our hitch literally wouldn't allow us to back up. It wasn’t a big deal, as we just backed out with the car disconnected (which it was anyway) and then reattached the car to leave, but could be annoying to some. Check the fire danger levels before you plan to grill anything.

Ancient Cedars campground was a great experience. My boyfriend, puppy Bella, and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. It was our first road trip together and it was such a relaxing weekend. The owners were so nice and welcoming.. they accommodated us with anything we needed, even let us pick our own camp site. The dog park was such a great add on, and very thoughtful for people traveling with their four legged family members. I highly reccomend this resort.

Our stay in the cabin in July 2017 was wonderful. Clean, tidy, all amenities one could want in a cabin camp site. AC in cabin much appreciated! Just minutes from Mesa Verde National Park. After hot day of sightseeing at the Park, coming back to cabin and pool was most welcome. Friendly folks. Nicely stocked store. Clean bathrooms, showers, etc. Nicest camp site we've stayed at. Very reasonable rate as well. Definately will stay here again when we visit the area in the future.

Very nice park right across US 160 from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance and visitor center. The bathrooms and sites are kept spotlessly clean and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. The park has a nice large dog area and 2 small hot tubs as well as a pool in summer. We've stayed there twice now and will stay there again when visiting the area.

We stayed here one week after the new owners took over. It is literally across the highway from Mesa Verde's entrance, but there is a field, some trees, and a frontage road separating it from the highway so the noise isn't bad. Not silent, but not bad. The bathroom has new flooring, counters, etc. and is very clean. I showered for so long the automatic lights turned off but the water stayed consistently hot. There is a small pool and a rec room and coin - operated washers and dryers that I did not try out. Also - wireless Internet is included.
