Broke down Saturday afternoon right after New Years. Travelling back from Florida to Michigan. Not many mechanics open on Saturday at 400pm, but Jeff answered my call. Said he could take a look at it and was not far away with his tow truck. Back at the repair shop for about 15 minutes when he informed me it was the fuel pump. He would be able to get part tomorrow and make the repair. I was surprised, because his sign out front did not list any hours for Sunday. He recommended a hotel that was flanked by some restaurants and a bar and he drove us down there. Sunday morning comes and he calls, the part won't be in until 400pm then it'll take about an hour to fix. But about 330pm, he calls and says the part came in early and my car is ready. And he's coming to pick me up from the motel. If he wouldn't have been willing to work on a Sunday, i would've had to miss work and incurred another motel night. Thank you Jeff. One downside, it's a small town, there's no shopping around for price. But checking once I got home, his price was just slightly above average. Worth it, for the Sunday service though.

Such amazing southern Hospitality. My family and I were traveling back from Alabama to Tennessee after visiting my inlaws. We stopped for a bite to eat and the car wouldn't start back up. We jumped the battery, even bought a new battery and changed it out. Still nothing. While I was on the phone to My insurance company trying to get a tow my mother in law (who was following us back) called Southern Dixie as they were minutes up the road. They ended up arriving first and towing are car to their shop that was already closed. Brought us in got the part and fixed it all with in a few hours. I know it didn't mean much to them to stay a little after close but it meant the world to us especially traveling with a 2 year old. We are forever going to be thankful of this awesome Auto Repair shop. Very trustworthy! They opened their door and invited us in like family.

My husband and I were driving to Florida from Kentucky and our transmission went out at around 2:00 am. We called Southern Dixie and got an answer! They were able to get us towed to the shop, fixed up and back on the road by that evening. The staff there was very accommodating for us and our two dogs which was a great help. We really appreciate the excellent service!

These guys came to our rescue in the early morning hours to fix a flat on our camper while stranded on the interstate. Very honest, helpful people! With their help we were able to get back on the road for vacation. In a time when you feel so helpless, so comforting to find great people like these! Thanks again Southern Dixie Auto Repair!!

PEKIN AUTO LOAN

We were traveling through Alabama on our way to Illinois when we had a brake lock up on our Chevy Suburban. It was 3pm on a Saturday so I knew it was going to be difficult to find a repair facility open. I was sure we were going to be spending a couple days in in the middle of Alabama waiting for a repair facility to open on Monday but we were lucky enough to find Southern Dixie Auto Repair on google! Jeff, the owner, answered the phone to our surprise. He said they were closed but he forwards the calls from the shop to his cell phone and would be happy to help us out. He gave us directions and had two of his employees meet us at his repair shop to fix our problem. Thanks to Tim and Justin we were back on the road in a short amount of time. Thank you Jeff for being so kind to help us out! You and your employees made a what could have been a difficult situation a minor inconvenience. You're the best!!!

Our Diesel DIED on a Saturday morning on I-65 just south of Clanton, AL. Called Southern Dixie Auto Repair and the owner said he'd be there within 20 minutes. Got there in 10! Took us to the local diesel repair shop, recommended a motel until repair could be done on Monday. He also loaned us a vehicle from his lot to use until we could get our truck back. Couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! I guess this is what is meant by southern hospitality!! Would recommend his service to anyone! Stranded at 8am and in a hotel room by 9am! I just doesn't get any better than that!!

My experience here was the excellent!! It was the day after the snow storm hit and my SUV had been running hot and my husband and I couldn’t figure out why. So I called Jeff, and he told me to bring it down there. After about an hour of stop and go because of the SUV overheating we finally made it down there!!! He was kind enough to loan me a van to drive because I had my two small kids with us and just a single cab ford ranger. I have never been to an auto repair shop that would even consider loaning a car out for a customer to use. The next morning I got a call from them telling me what was wrong, how much it would cost to fix and when it would be ready. I have never met someone so kind to a stranger as they were. Thank you, Jeff and the employees @ Southern Dixie Auto Repair!!! All of you were just awesome!
