The Parkway RV Resort & Campground

The Parkway RV “resort” does not in any way resemble the website or come close to deserving the word resort. There are patches of grass rather than verdant swathes of lawn and a handful of trees minus the canopy. It is hot and dusty and a lot of gravel. It also appears from the area that vehicles might be subject to thievery. On the plus side the people running it are very nice. We drove in and paid and drove right back out. Never looked back.

My park stay was great! Staff made us feel at home. Nicest group of people .Our spot was shaded by a big tree and grass, big spacious area. Pool temperature was just right. And tent with outdoor furniture made it even more relaxing at poolside. Will definitely come again !! Thanks again for such a pleasant stay

A great, quiet RV park in the middle of California's central valley. Stopped here for two days on our way south. We got Covid halfway through our trip and had to call to cancel and reschedule three times. The front office was very accommodating and made that process easy. Though the office was closed when we arrived (it was Sunday) our information package was all prepared and waiting at the office door. Could not have been easier. Large pull-through spaces and clean, neat hookups. Superb wi-fi - best we've had at any park. Plenty of grass and trees and we didn't feel at all crammed in between neighbors.

We loved our stay here! Easy convenient check in. Spacious green sites with lots of big trees. Clean pool. Nice laundry facility with extra large dryers. We will be back! Thank you!

Great, clean, quiet place conveniently located a few blocks off the I-5 freeway. Staff is helpful and friendly. We only stayed one night passing through on our way north to our destination, but liked it enough to do the same on our way back south to home. The pool was a refreshing break to the hot weather.

This is a fantastic location right off I-5. There's Black Butte Lake nearby for water recreation, biking, and hiking, and you're at the gateway to Lassen, Shasta-Trinity, and the Siskiyous. They have a large sparkling pool, clean & hot showers, and a shop with a wonderful selection of locally-made beverages. There's tons of shade and they even have tent spaces! The owners are great people and you can tell that they take great pride in their property: the landscaping is immaculate (I love the garden bed by the front parking!), everything is very clean and well-maintained, and the WiFi is the best I've ever used at any RV park or campground.

Quiet, pleasant overnight stay. Not in great shape - grass was in need of mowing. Many weeds with burrs that got tracked into the coach. Sites had partial shade, but were situated back-to-back making neighbor very close.

We spent the weekend (Thursday through Sunday) here in early April. Beautiful mature fruitless mulberry trees for shade on green lawns with full hookup pull through sites. Easy to see the pride of ownership John and Marian have by how clean the property is , including the pool. 4 of the 6 in our group visited Marian for the wine tasting , they were impressed with Marian’s wine knowledge. I visited the office earlier and saw that John had a guitar so we talked music… while the others were wine tasting, John and I had a great time jamming in the next room. So, 5 stars - great place to stay with great hosts!

Listed on the door not on website coin operated showers! 3 min. $1 outrageous won't be back. All over the country never seen this level of greed.

This review is only based on the management policy since we never stayed. The owner, John, answered the phone and efficiently took our reservation. When we decided to cancel about 10 min later, there was a misunderstanding with an employee about a refund. However, John, immediately emailed the refund receipt and later texted us to clarify. This kind of personal attention in business is rare these days, and very much appreciated! When we find ourselves traveling in California again we will time our trip to stay at Parkway.

We had to be evacuated during the Camp fire in November 2018. We ended up at Parkway. We had no idea when we would be able to return to our house but the management required us to pay for a week in advance. Having no other choice of places to stay with our dogs and RV, we paid. When the week was up we were required to pay for the next week in advance. Again no choice. When we got the clearance to go back home, I tried to get a refund on the days that we had left we were told it could not be done. I wonder if they kept our spot empty or rented it out for the remaining days.

Stayed one night on my way from CA to OR. Very professional and helpful with a “day of reservation” for one night with a dog. Arrived after dark, but they left me a map and instructions. All the RV spots look nice with bamboo separation and grass. I stayed in the tent area which is also grass. The only drawback for me was the bathroom is a bit of a walk in the dark at night, but it was super clean and warm when I finally used it in the morning. Showers are coin operated. Would stay again, thank you for the last minute help!
